Google Social Graph API

I am not sure how I would use it but the idea is really cool, an API that allows developers of a site to immediately alert users of friends they have on the site or at other partner sites. For example, if I joined frankscoolfriends.com I might discover that my good friend, Charlie Brown, has also joined the site with the name “ihatelucy”. I might not have known that since Charlie failed to tell me but the application could tell me with the help of Google’s Social Graph API. This is a step above asking the user for his address book to find friends.
